Sister Weds At Double Ceremony
Miss Mary Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan H. Baker, of 539 Rockland street, was wed to Russell S. Schober, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Schober, of 473 Rockland street Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Faith Reformed church. Rev. H. F. Hafer officiated.
Miss Baker's sister, Miss Betty Baker, became the bride of William P Heaps, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Heaps of 304 Dauphin street during the same ceremony. The double ceremony was performed in the presence of the immediate families.
Mrs. Schober chose a gown of nile green crepe with navy blue accessories and a corsage of pink rose buds and daisies. Mrs. Heaps selected a cerise silk gown with navy accessories and a corsage of roses and sweet peas.
Mr. and Mrs. Schober will reside at 444 East Chestnut street and Mr. and Mrs. Heaps will reside at the home of the bride's parents, 539 Rockland street.

Mrs. W. Heaps Is Dead at 59
Betty J. (Baker) Heaps, 59, a Mailman's Department Store employee, died Sunday morning at St. Joseph Hospital, after an illness of 10 months.
Mrs. Heaps, of Apt 3, 642 Wyncroft Lane, was employed as manager of the cosmetics department of Mailman's, Manor Shopping Center. She had previously been employed for more than 20 years with Lancaster Newspaper Inc.
She was also the wife of William P. Heaps. She and her husband celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on March 24.
Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Jennie G. Steele Baker, Lancaster, and the late Nathan H. Baker.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are four children: Linda G. Lownsbery, Suzanne J. Myers, William N. Heaps and Betsy J., wife of Robin Lefever, all of Lancaster, and nine grandchildren.
Also surviving are eight brothers and sisters: Mary E., wife of Russell Schober; Dorothy M. Kurtz; Charles F. Baker; Sarah L., wife of John H. Thatcher; Dawn M., wife of Charles N. Herr; Nancy J., wife of Anthony Vital; Barbara A., wife of Charles W. Colson, all of Lancaster; and John W. Baker, Strasburg; and four half brothers and sisters: Catherine Sener, Bellingham, Wash.; Harry N. Baker, Columbia, and Esther M., wife of Arthur Lamparter, Lancaster,
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at Faith United Church of Christ, South Duke and North Streets, Lancaster, PA, on Wednesday, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. David L. Gockley officiating. Interment private. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. Please omit flowers.
