My father went by his middle name Eugene or 'Gene' for short. He told me that he hated the name George and didn't really care for Arthur. He told me that when he was born there were three women that wanted to name him, so not to disappoint any of the women, his parents decided to give him all three names.

My father was a registered member of the Western Cherokee Tribe in Tahlequah, OK. His mother and grandfather were original enrollees of the Dawes Roll.

My father was very active in Senior Citizen's activities and loved to dance. He was always helping people in need and never asked for anything in return. He was always there for me whether I asked for help or not.

He lost his life to cancer of unknown origin after a six month battle. He worked up until he was unable to anymore.

He was my inspiration to research our family history and helped me a great deal. I will always have great memories of everything we have done together which included the trips to Spiro and the surrounding area where he grew up. I loved listening to all his stories about his childhood.

He always said that regardless of how old I got I would always be his "Little pumkin". His last spoken words were to me and he said "I love you too pumpkin." I miss him terribly. I love you dad!!!!!!
