Mrs. Elizabeth Baker Dies This Morning
Lived In Town For Many Years
Funeral Saturday Afternoon at Two O'clock
This morning at 9 o'clock Mrs. Elizabeth (Warfel) Baker passed peacefully to rest at the residence of her son, John H. Baker, No. 224 East Main Street, after a lingering illness. She was the widow of the late George Baker, who died September 17th in the upper end of the county. She was the mother of the late Nathaniel and G. W. Baker. The only surviving member of the family is her son, John H. Baker, at whose residence she died. Shortly before she was taken seriously ill she resided in Royalton, at the canal bridge, near Reitzel's store. Mrs. Baker has lived in town and vicinity for many years and is known to almost everybody about town. She had 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Middletown cemetery. Revs. Smoker and Swartz will officiate.
She outlived 9 of her 10 children.
