Funeral services for Mr. Angel Gabriel Crnkovic, 93, of Oak Grove, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 23, 1995, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with Father Joe Martina officiating.
Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery for Mr. Crnkovic who died Sunday, October 22, 1995 in West Carroll Memorial Hospital. Services were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Mr. Crnkovic was born on March 23, 1902 in Stari-Laz, Yugoslavia to Bartol and Mary Crnkovic. He came to the United States at the age of 9 where his family settled at Zwolle, Louisiana. They moved to West Carroll Parish in 1925 and he married Fannie Gunter in 1926. To that union, six children lived to be grown. He became a citizen of the United States on April 28, 1967. He lived a very long, good and productive life.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Crnkovic, of Oak Grove; Preston Crnkovic, of Bastrop; and Bill Crnkovic, of Lake Providence; two daughters, Jane Acreman, of Oak Grove and Doris Crnkovic, of Alexandria; a brother, Joseph Crnkovic, of Zwolle; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Gunter Crnkovic; and two sons, Barley Crnkovic and Keith Crnkovic.
Pallbearers were Hoye Terrell, Charles Frith, Joseph Martin, Charlie Hankins, Jeff Chop and Todd Chop.
