John Cash, son of Denis Cash and Katherine Cash, formerly Brien, was born on 16 December 1885, at 60 Sandwith Street, Dublin.
His father was a Labourer.
Baptism.
John Cash, son of Denis Cash and Catherine Bryan, of 60 Sandwith Street, Dublin, was baptised at St. Andrew's Church, Westland Row, Dublin, in 1885.
In the 1901 census, the Cash family were living at 8 Sandwith Street, Dublin.

Denis Cash, aged 50, a Coal Labourer, married, born in Co. Wicklow,
Catherine, his wife, aged 40, married, born in Co. Dublin.

in the 1911 census, the Cash family were living at 8, Magennis Place, Dublin.

Lizzie Cash, his wife, aged 24, born in Dublin City.
They had been married 6 years. 2 children had been born, 1 of whom was alive.
Denis Cash, his son, aged 3 months. [b. 5 Jan. 1911]
4 families comprising 13 people lived in the building, each occupying 1 room.
Death.
John Cash, aged 33, married, an Ex-Soldier, late of 8 South Gloucester Street, died at Cork Street Hospital, Dublin, on 21 February 1919.
The cause of death was Influenza, 14 days, certified.
His wife, Elizabeth Cash, aged 57, died on 20 October 1943, at 77 Townsend Street, Dublin
He is buried in a grave plot in which his younger brother,
Drummer James Cash
who was also a WW1 casualty is also buried.
Denis and Catherine, and their two sons James and John, are all buried in this grave, but only James and John are named on the CWGC headstones.
