Angela Marotta Abbatiello, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at her daughter's home with her family by her side. Born in Italy, she was a Syracuse resident for 44 years. In 1980, Angela retired from Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. Predeceased by her husband, Vincenzo in 2008. Angela is survived by her daughters, Immacolata (Joseph) Migliore of Liverpool and Maria (Saverio) Ferraro of Syracuse; one son, Tony (Deborah) Abbatiello of Liverpool; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday 12:30 p.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 1 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be today (Thursday) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street. The family would like to thank Hospice of CNY, especially Carol Chorley and all of our friends for their support.
