Cecil Hendren, 88, Macon, died April 14 at 8 p.m. at the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital in Independence, MO where he was a patient for the past week.
Born February 16, 1898 at Higbee he was the son of A. J. and Lizzie Knatzer Hendren and was retired farmer. He married Frances Rucker on December 23, 1916 at Salisbury and she survives of the home. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Andy, Jesse, and W. S. Hendren. Survivors include his wife, Frances, of Macon; nine children, four daughters and three son-in-laws, five sons and four daughters-in-law, 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Friday, 1:30 p.m., in Cater Funeral Home, Moberly, with Bro. Howard Hartung of the Grace Chapel Church in Anabel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Moberly. Visitation will be Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m. at Cater's.
