Mrs. Eva Lena Beasley of Fairbury, Neb., died in a local hospital Saturday, April 25, 1964, at the age of 79 years.
The youngest daughter of John and Mary Greeson, she was born Dec. 1, 1884 at Calhoun, Mo. Her childhood was spent at Calhoun and she was baptized in the Christian church there.
On March 27, 1904, she was married to Walter M. Beasley and to them six children were born. In the early years of her marriage she lived on a homestead at Benkelman, Neb. In the fall of 1923 the family moved to Eaton, Colo., where she lived until her husband's death in 1928. She and the children then moved to Fairbury where she made her home since.
In 1940 she transferred her membership to the Fairbury Christian church where she was an active member.
Her husband, a son, Lester and two grandsons preceded her in death.
Surviving are five children, Chester of Bremerton, Wash., Wilber of Fairbury, Norman of McCook, Hazel, Mrs. Don Priefert of Reynolds, and Pearl, Mrs. George Mackay of Fairbury, 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Emma Heard of Clinton, Mo., and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday afternoon in the Christian church with Pastor Virgil Willits officiating. Mrs. Charlotte Henney was organist. Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Jones, Harvey Shultz, Paul Regnier, Ed Zierenberg, Roy Holloway and Earl Manners.
