Ray Butcher was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Butcher, 126 North Bradley street. He had been racing for more than five years. He was a graduate of Technical High school and for some time owned a garage where his racing cars were built. He was a member of the Shrine and Sahara Grotto Indianapolis. He was the only child in the family.
He is laid to rest a with Florence and Charles Butcher at his side.
