Remains Will Be Interred Tomorrow Morning at Greenleaf, Where Deceased Spent Most of His Active Business Career--Retired Lumber Operator.

The death in Milwaukee last night of Charles W. Day, for many years one of the foremost citizens of Brown county, was announced in private telegrams received this morning in De Pere, where Mr. Day lived until about a year ago, when he went to Milwaukee to make his permanent home there. Mr. Day had been ill for some time and his demise was not unexpected.
The remains will be brought to Greenleaf for interment there at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning. It is expected that large delegations will go from Green Bay and De Pere to attend the funeral.
Mr. Day was upwards of 60 years old and spent most of his active business career in Brown county. He was engaged in business at Greenleaf, but for about a score of years previous to his departure for Milwaukee lived in De Pere, continuing his business interests at Greenleaf. He operated a lumber yard and planing mill at Greenleaf, also conducting a large general store there some years ago. He had disposed of his lumbering interests, but had retained an extensive holding in farm property.
Mr. Day served as representative of this district in the state senate for one term, his term beginning in 1887."
