Mrs. Matilda Gambler, North Sixth Street, Claimed by Death
Mrs. Matilda A. Gambler, widow of the late John W. Gambler, of 420 North Sixth street, passed away at her home, on Tuesday afternoon, following a ten days illness. The late Mrs. Gambler was 69 years old and a member of the Salem U. B. church.
She is survived by these children: Earl S. of this city; W. Emerson of Columbia; Mrs. Arthur Shoop, Richland; Uriah H. at home; and J. Lloyd of Harrisburg.
The following brothers and sisters survive: George, David, and John Snavely, and Mrs. William Gates of this city; also fifteen grandchildren.
Epitaph reads: Thy children rise up and call thee Blessed.
