Clinton Sherman Adams, 78, a resident of rural Underwood, Minnesota, who died Sunday, May 22, 1994, at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
He was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Barney, North Dakota the son of Cliffton and Alice (Claypool) Adams. He attended the Antelope School near Barney. In 1934, the family moved to Star Lake, rural Dent, Minnesota.
In 1938, he began working as a mechanic at Bauck's Garage in Perham, Minnesota, On July 2, 1939, he married Doris Seeba at Maine, Minnesota. In 1943, he left Perham to work for a federal project, constructing a pipeline across Canada into the Northwest Territory, while Doris and Sylvia stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa Adams. When he returned, Clint moved his family to Alexandria, Minnesota, where he worked for Minnesota Motors. In 1946, they moved to Maine, where he worked with Cliff Seeba at the Maine Repair. A few years later, Sharon was born. In the later years he owned and operated Clint's Repair at his home.
Clint was an involved member of the Maine Presbyterian Church and served on the Silent Vale Cemetery Board. He was also a former member of the school board and the Fish Lake Rod & Gun Club. Clint loved the out of doors and enjoyed hunting and camping with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers, Delbert and Arlie.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of Underwood; two daughters, Sylvia (Robert) Kurtz and Sharon (John) Hurley all of Brainerd; three grandsons, Michael and Keith Hurley and Randall Kurtz; four sisters, Mildred Seeba of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Viola Rostad of Fergus Falls, Marcella Peterson of Battle Lake and Charmeon (Arnold) Larson of Fargo, North Dakota; one brother, Ladd (Llew) of Underwood; and several nieces and nephews.
