Robert was the son of Daniel Maddox and an unknown wife. The family moved to Shelby Co., Ky where Robert married Sarah Gott, 8/18/1820. They moved to Montgomery Co., IN before the 1830 census. They had 4 known children.

Notice is hereby given that the undersigned has taken out letters of administration on the estate of Robert Maddox, dec'd, late of Montgomery County, Ind All person indebted to said estate will make immediate payment - and all persons having claims against the same will present them, legally authenticated, for settlement, within one year from this date. The estate is solvent. William N. Gott, admr.

Sale to commence at 9 o'clock. Wm. N. Gott, Admr. April 23, 1835.
