RELATIVE OF OUR PEOPLE DIES IN ACCCIDENT

Funeral services were held on October 20 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Merna, Nebraska for Joe David Britton, 29 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Britton of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Mr. Britton died at Methodist Hospital at St. Louis Park, Minnesota from injuries he received in an auto accident on October 17.

Born on December 8, 1946 at Ravenna, Nebraska, he received his education at the Broken Bow High School and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor degree in Agronomy. He was employed for 5½ years for the Northrup King Company at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Surviving are his parents, one brother, William; sister-in-law, Mary and two nieces of Oshkosh, Nebraska; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Britton of Ravenna; many cousins, uncles and aunts, including Mrs. Louis Wahlbrink and Miss Anna Juergens of Greenview; Mrs. Dena Juergens and Mrs. Mary Juergens of Petersburg.

The deceased was a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Marten who lived in this are before moving to Nebraska many years ago.

Attending the funeral from Petersburg were: Mrs. Stuart Hofing, Mrs. Raymond Montgomery and Paul Montgomery.
