Mr. Amdur, of North Miami Beach, was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the Levi Eshkol Lodge of B'nai B'rith. He was also an international charter member of the Israeli Red Cross.
He contributed a Braille typewriter to the Israeli Light House for the Blind annually. A poet, Mr. Amdur was an associate of the Florida Poetry Workshop and was published in its periodicals.
Mr. Amdur is survived by his wife, Jeanette; a son, David of Rockville, Md.; a sister, Rachel A. Stewart of Oakland; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour before the 11 a.m. funeral service tomorrow in Ralph Schugar Chapel, 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside. Burial will be in the Rodef Shalom Congregation at West View Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
