COL LEWIS F ACKER--65:
former Meadville resident, died suddenly Monday [1-28] at his home in FtLauderdale FL. He was a graduate of Allegheny College later doing graduate work at University of Pittsburgh & Massachussetts Institute of Technology. He saw military ser-vice with the 112th Infantry-CoB on the Mex-ican Border. He also served during WW1 when he received a Silver Star & Purple Heart decoration; WW-2 & the Marshall Mission to China. He was a member of the Last Man'sClub & Masonic Lodge 408.
Arrangements are incomplete pending arrival of his son CaptLewis Acker-USAF from Roswell NM
[Friends may call at the Stark Funrl Home at Springdale, near Pittsburgh. Service will be [2-03] in the mausoleum at MtRoyal Cem on Mt Royal Blvd-Pittsburgh. Interment will be in that cem]
