Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Marita was born Aug. 11, 1939, in Streator to Henry and Margaret (Gall) Benner. She married Richard B. Jones on Aug. 19, 1957. He passed away Dec. 10, 2003.
Marita is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Stewart) Spencer of Marseilles and Jane (Rodney) Moore of Streator; a son, Richard (June) Jones of Ancona; eight grandchildren, Robert Carbone, Nichole (Steve Ondek) Jones, Tiffany and Sarah Jones, Brian and Katie Moore, and Nicholas and Stewart Spencer; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward (Margaret Rose), Richard (Sandy), and Larry (Evelyn) Benner, all of Streator; three sisters, Betty Winn of Streator, Bernadette (Richard) Terrel of Bloomington, and Joanne Taylor of Virginia; a brother-in-law, Vincent Yuhas of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Margaret Mary Yuhas.
She attended St. Stephen's Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1957.
She was formerly employed at Camelot Manor Nursing Home.
