Mrs. Cornelius was born April 26, 1928, in Lincoln County, Okla., to Elmer Pierce and Alice Martindale Withrow.

She was married to Glenn J. Cornelius on Aug. 17, 1945, at Salem Baptist Church. He survives.

Other survivors include four daughters; two sons; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, including her twin sister; one brother; a sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Gussie Bailey, Phema Painter and Clema Painter; four brothers, Frank Withrow, Boyd Withrow, Lloyd Withrow and an infant brother.

Mrs. Cornelius was a cook at New London Elementary School for 17 years. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was devoted to her husband and children. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She truly enjoyed going with Glenn and listening to him and his friends play for musical events.
