Born Aug. 11, 1928 to Florence Mildred Gratz, and Earl Daniel Gratz, she was raised on a farm during the depression. She moved to Redondo Beach with her family in 1942.She fell in love with and married John Edward Russak in 1945. Millie lived in San Francisco and worked at the naval department while John was in the Navy. Moving to Manhattan Beach after the war, she worked at Metlox Pottery where she applied designs to the pottery.
Their son Wayne was born in 1950. In 1953 she worked for General Telephone for 10 years before the family moved to Round Mountain. She then worked for 22 years for Union School District.
She is survived by her Husband John, son Wayne (Marie) grands sons Justin and Jared of Goleta, CA great granddaughter Marisa, and brother Jim Gratz of Eureka, CA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence,of CA, her Uncle Harold Young, Aunt Grace Neumiller Risko, of Miles City, MT.
