Bernard W Gates was a watch and clock repairman and also was employed at the Lincoln Republican Club. He worshipped in the Episcopal faith, and was a member of the Moose, the Hook and Ladder and Perseverance Fire companies, and the Lincoln Republican Club.
Surviving are the following children: Katherine, wife of Walter Anderson, Lebanon; Bernard A., Kennett Square, Pa., Carlton H. Lebanon; Kenneth E. Reading; Harry W. Lebanon; and 10 grandchildren. He was the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth (Snavely) Gates.
