Services for Harold D. Bishop, 57, of Van Buren, Ark., were held Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Patterson officiating.
Burial was in Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Bishop died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was born Feb. 12, 1941. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and he was a deacon at First Missionary Baptist Church in Hobbs. His wife, Millie Sue Bishop, preceded him in death.
He was a retired engineer for Texaco.
Survivors include his mother, Laura Bishop of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sons, Dennis of Seymour, Mo., and Richard Dean of Killeen; a daughter, Terry Lynn Seitz of Van Buren; four brothers, Frank of Ozark, Ark., Earl of Van Nuys, Calif., Herbert of Fort Smith and Kenneth of Hobbs; two sisters, Margaret Foster of Fort Smith and Imogene Hawkins of Fort Smith; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
