Other survivors include two sons, Elton, Jr. of Huntington and Mike Abenath of Winamac; four daughters, Pam Town of Jackson, Mich., Mary Abenath of Neosho, Mo., Elizabeth Richards of Fort Wayne, and Barbara Darbig of Huntington; a brother, Jack Abenath of Liberty Center; three sisters, Beverly Schriever of Clear Lake, Rosalie Myers of Decatur, and Cindea Frantz of Liberty Center; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Calling hours are Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday there, officiated by Gerald Moreland. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
