Christian M. Keedy was the son of John Jay Keedy, 1803-1868 & Mary Ann Middlekauff Keedy 1802-1883. Christian had seven siblings. They were: Jacob, 1829, Samuel, 1833 & his twin, Anna Sophia, 1833, Henry, 1834, George Washington, 1837, Thomas Jefferson, 1840, and Mary Ann Ellen, 1844.
Christian M. Keedy married Mary Ellen Carr on 8 Nov. 1849 in Washington Co., MD. They had 14 children. They were: Cora A., 1861, Bertie G., 1866, Etta "Ettie" E., 1867, Lottie Blanche, 1869, Clementine "Clemmie" E., 1850, Alberta "Albertie" G., 1865, an infant daughter who died, 1852, Laura E., 1854, Margaret S., 1855, Alice A., 1857, Mary J., 1858, Charley M. 1859, Minnie E., 1865 and Edna K., ?.
