REBA ELIZABETH HUNDLEY CRAIGHEAD CHILOWIE-Reba Elizabeth Hundley Craighead, 87, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Guy and Flora Poff Hundley, her husband, William Carl Craighead, sister, Genova Conner, brother, Burton Hundley, and son-in-law, Robert D. Bryant.

Reba leaves behind a loving family of four children and their families, daughter, Janet Peak and husband Bob of Floyd, VA, son, William M. Craighead and wife Murleen of Emory, VA, daughter, Sue Bryant of Blue Ridge, VA, and son, Steve Craighead and wife Patricia of Roswell, GA.; sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Keith Young. Reba and Carl were blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Craigheads were master gardeners. They spent their lives dedicated to family and the Grace Presbyterian Church, Glade Spring, VA.

Reba was a graduate of Check High School and retired from Johnston Memorial Hospital.

She lived the last four years at the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA, where she received loving care and developed many friendships. The immediate family received friends and other family members on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, VA.

Due to Reba's wishes, there will be no public viewing. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 15, 2010 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Mr. Larry Phillips. Burial followed in the Old Salem Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be sent to Grace Presbyterian Church, 327 Grace Street, Glade Spring, VA 24340 Arrangements by Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
