Oren Willis Benson, 90, retired Henderson County teacher after 30 years, died Monday of complications from heart failure and pneumonia at the Decatur County General Hospital in Parson, Tennessee.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Sardis United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Sardis Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home of Savannah has charge.
She was a member of the State and National Retired Teachers Associations.
Mrs. Benson, the widow of Buford John Benson, leaves a son, Jack Ray Benson of Sardis; two brothers, Paul Willis of Milledgeville and Richie Willis of Memphis; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
