NEWCASTLE AND MILO - Rose (Lowell) Brewer, 88, died March 11, 2007, at her home in Newcastle. She was born March 12, 1918, the daughter of Mina (Cobb) Lowell Dakin and Leslie Lowell.
Some people make a difference just by being who they are. Rose was a kind, generous and hospitable woman. She loved people and made each person in her life feel special.
Rose was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 68 years. She will be sadly missed by all her spiritual family.
Rose is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Betty Brewer of Sebec, David and Marsha Brewer of Corinna, and Dwight and Debby Brewer of Newcastle; and a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea (Brewer) and Robert Wood of Levant. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, six nieces, and a nephew. Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Nelson James Brewer; a daughter, Daune Louise; their sons, Nelson J. Brewer Jr. and infant son, William; and her sister, Gwen (Dakin) Witham.
In keeping with her wishes a graveside service is planned for the spring.
