April 21, 1905, The Abilene Weekly Reflector
Funeral services of the late A.W. Gordon were held at the home yesterday afternoon. Rev. R.V. Maloney officiating. The G.A.R. attended in a body and marched to the cemetery where the departed comrade was laid to rest. A large number of friends were present to show their sorrow, for the passing of a pioneer of the city whom all respected.
