Alfred Scott, "Al" Carroll of Newton Upper Falls, formally of Wellesley, died at home on Thursday May 13, 2010.
He was 94 years old. Born in Needham, Al was the son of the late Walker and Susan (Lawson) Carroll. He was a graduate of Wellesley high School Class of 1934 and Northeastern University.
Mr. Carroll was a World War II US Army Air Force veteran.
He worked for John Hancock Insurance Company for 35 years until he retired.
The beloved husband of Elaine (Gasbarri) Carroll and the late Gertrude (Ebel) Carroll, he was the loving father of Dennis Carroll and his wife Marlene of Sandwich. Brother of the late Walker, Robert and Margaret Carroll. Devoted grandfather of Lindsey Alty and her husband Brian and Blair Carroll all of Sandwich. Great grandfather of Lukas Sean Alty. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday May 18 at 11AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 PM.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
