Mrs. Nellie Frances Goodson Dix, age 78, of Ashley's Grove Road, Conway, NC died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
Mrs. Dix was born March 25, 1932 in Washington County, VA, the daughter of the late Rev. Moses L. Goodson and Edna Large Goodson. She was also preceded in death by a son, George David Dix.
Survivors include of husband of 57 years, George Lea Dix. Her daughter, Donna Turner and her husband Rev. Bobby Turner Jr. of Roanoke Rapids. Her son, Kenneth Dix and his wife Renee of Conway, NC. A brother, Franklin R. Goodson and his wife Mary of Virginia Beach, VA. A sister, Margaret Rice of Providence, NC. Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, Tuesday from 7:00 until 8:30 PM.
