William Billie Joe Humble, 83, died at 6:55 a.m. on Thursday in the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Charles McKnight of Bartlesville, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Bill may do so to; Shrine Hospital for Children 2808 South Sheridan Tulsa, Oklahoma 74129-1014.
William Billie Joe Humble was born February 27, 1927 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Londo C. and Pearl (Carter) Humble. He was raised and received his education in Bartlesville, graduating from College High School in 1945. After graduation Bill purchased the Humble Sinclair Services Station on Hensley and Cherokee in Bartlesville and owned and operated it for over thirty years. Bill was married to Frieda Mae Fouts on July 7, 1950 at Bartlesville and they have made Bartlesville their home since that date. He was a member of the Tuxedo Assembly of God Church for many years.
Survivors include; one son Billy Joe Humble Jr., of Coffeyville; one daughter Betty Jean Lawyer of Bartlesville; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; four brothers Londo Humble, Clifford Humble, Paul Humble and Oliver Humble; two sisters Cleta Williams and his twin sister Betty Edens.
