Helen grew up in Harper and attended the Harper Schools until graduating with the class of 1953. After high school, Helen attended St. Francis Nursing School in Wichita until completing that training.
In 1956, Helen was united in marriage with LD Eubanks in Albuquerque, New Mexico and this union was blessed with three children, Dan, Roy, and Diana.
With LD being a career military man, the family made their home in several places where Helen maintained her career as a nurse. Her last job before retiring was at the Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Helen and LD returned to Harper to make their home after retiring and Helen was an active member of the Chicaskia Baptist Church.
In 2001, LD passed away and Helen was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Archie Oakley Russell, Pete Russell, and Gene Russell.
She will be missed by her children, Dan Eubanks of Danville, Ks, Roy Eubanks and his wife, Sharon of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Diana Davis-Blair and her husband, Sonny of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Trey and Lucas Davis; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
