He retired from the US Marine Corp as a Master Sergeant after 23 years of service during which he served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was an active member of the Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 28 years. He was a loving father and devoted husband who enjoyed the outdoors and lived each day to its fullest. He was a true friend who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Accardi
