Edward E. Friesch, 87 of Waynesville passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Buffalo, NY on October 31, 1922 to the late Ernst Friesch, born in Germany 1892 and passed away in NY 11 May 1957 and Marie Fink Friesch born in Germany 15 August 1894 and passed away in NY August 1979.

He retired from the US Marine Corp as a Master Sergeant after 23 years of service during which he served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was an active member of the Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 28 years. He was a loving father and devoted husband who enjoyed the outdoors and lived each day to its fullest. He was a true friend who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Accardi
