DANIEL S. ATWOOD DIES IN PELHAM

PELHAM, N.H. - Daniel S. Atwood, a widely known merchant of this town, died unexpectedly at his home here last night. He was 57.

He was born in Pelham, N.H., the son of Harry and Carrie (Stickney) Atwood, who survive him, and had made his home in the town throughout his entire lifetime. Mr. Atwood was the proprietor of Atwood's store in Pelham Center, which establishment he had operated for many years.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Hunt; two daughters, Mrs. John A. Roden of Lisbon, N.H., and Mrs. Roger Robinson of Pelham, N.H.; two sons, Daniel S. Atwood, Jr., and Herbert H. Atwood, both of Pelham, N.H.; seven sisters, Mrs. Charles H. Koehler of Pelham, N.H., Mrs. Harry O. Page of Albany, N.Y., Miss Marion J. Atwood, also of Pelham, N.H., Mrs. Clifford W. Laws of Bethel, Me., Mrs. Glen E. Koehler, Mrs. Richard W. Ivers and Mrs. George H. Sutton, Jr., all of Pelham, N.H.; two brothers, Willis H. Atwood and Frank W. Atwood, both of Pelham, N.H.; a granddaughter; three grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Atwood was a member of the First Congregational church of Pelham, N.H.; was a past master of Pelham Grange 244, P. of H. and was a former chief and a present member of the Pelham, N.H. fire department and held membership in the Pelham, N.H. Police Relief association.

ATWOOD - Died in Pelham, N.H., suddenly, August 29. Daniel S. Atwood of Pelham Center, age 57. Friends may call at the Morse Funeral Home, 133 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, Mass., from 3 until 5 and 7 to 9 Saturday. Funeral services will be held at the First Congregational church of Pelham Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends invited. Interment in Gibson cemetery, Pelham.
