Arrangements for the funeral of M. N. Thomas of Swain who passed away Tuesday are incomplete, pending the arrival of a daughter from Washington.
The body is at Holt's Funeral Home in Harrison.

Newton County News, June 30, 1950:
M. N. Thomas, who had been a life long resident of Swain community, passed away on Tuesday, June 21st and was laid to rest in the Mossville Cemetery the following Saturday. Rev. Cain Boling officiated at the burial.
Mr. Thomas had lived in the same Township all of his life and he and Mrs. Thomas have lived at the home where he passed away for 50 years of their 52 years of married life.
There they reared six children, who survive him, with his wife; Mrs. Iva Carlton, Swain, AR, Mr. Roy Thomas, McClery, Wash., Mr. John Thomas, Gulfport, Miss., Mr. Arl Thomas, Oark, Ark., Mrs. Imogene McFerrin, Tulsa, Okla. and Mrs. Pearl Hudson, Tulsa, Okla., also eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

March is the son of Vincent and Sallie 'Spivie' Thomas.
He married Alberta "Bertie" Ober at Swain, Newton County, Arkansas, October 27, 1898.
Together they had nine children, their names are:

Lola Thomas
Pearl Thomas
James A Thomas
Sally Imogene Thomas
and Aldon Thomas
