Thomas Richard McColloch, 82, a native of Akron, Ohio, and a resident of Foley, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
He was born July 8, 1927. He attended St. Vincent Grade School and High School in Akron. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, aboard the USS Sicily. He attended Kent State and earned his engineering degree at Case Western University. He did his Masters studies in Industrial Law at San Diego State University.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lafayette Ray McColloch; his mother, Edna Elizabeth Black McColloch; brother, Robert McColloch; great-grandson, Joel Molina; and granddaughter, Claire Grace McColloch.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 59 years, Shirley Eubanks McColloch of Foley; four sons, Michael (Colleen) McColloch of Solano Beach, Calif., Terrance (Nancy) McColloch of Birmingham, Daniel (Colleen) McColloch of Celena, Texas, and Thomas McColloch of Foley; four daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Johnson of Dayton, Ohio, Susan (Steve) Sato of Centerville, Ohio, Karen (Charles) Hunter of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Pamela McColloch of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Virginia Hickox of Houston; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21 at St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Catholic Church, Foley.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
