Anna Johnston; Anna C. Johnston, 84, of Benton died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services are today at 11 a. m., at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Sonny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnston was born Aug. 16, 1925 in Natchez, Ms. to Reuben and Virginia Ann Brooks Strombeck. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Johnston, and a son-in-law, Paul Hood. Survivors include four daughters, Georgia Ann Hood of Benton, Betty Sue (Fred) Blackmon of Canton, Merry (Bobby) Ward of Benton and Debbie (Kyle)Lockhart of Pensacola, Fla.; two sons, James (Laura) Monday of Canton and Reuben "Boo" (Parcia) Monday of Benton; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
