Kaiser's name, "Kaiser Wilhelm Von Baumgrenze", translates from German to English as "King William Of Timberline", we named him that because our address when he became a member of our family, over fourteen years ago on April 11, 1999, was on Timberline Drive, at about 7000 feet, overlooking the Carson Valley, NV.

Kaiser's last few days where very difficult on him. Kaiser lost all of his mobility and bodily functions, and I think it was harder for Kaiser to have lost his pride than it was for me knowing what was going to happen, so we spent his last few nights doing what he loved most, we went camping. Our camping trips never included the backyard previously, but this was just what he needed, and the end came very quickly, under the stars doing what he loved most, CAMPING.

Kaiser had many likes and dis-likes, where should I start?

Likes:
Frosty Paws, Camping, Hiking, Snow, Going for a ride, Bully Sticks, Milk Bones (only the Original brand), CHEESES (the smellier the better), visitors (with toys), his squeaky toys (he had a large basket of at least fifty, that his calmer, younger brother, Ruger, use to plays with, and now Baron plays with). We had a great time with all of our camping trips. We traveled all over the southwest and west coast of the U.S.A. including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington State and he loved every moment we spent together, as did I.

Dis-likes:
Any delivery person: UPS, DHL, USPS, Fed-EX or any person leaving something at the door (they were all the enemy), Ceiling fans (there are nine in the house and this was his daily exercise), motorcycles, ground keepers (we will not go there), his Vet (we went through a few of them), Blimps, Water (there was no way he would put a single paw in the stuff), Bath (only when forcefully administered), Cats, Birds, and the list just goes on and on……………

*Cause of death: Liver failure, due to an excessive amount of bilirubin.
