She attended Tamora Grade School and was a 1934 graduate of Tamora High School. She was united in marriage to Homer Milton Kilzer on October 24, 1937. The couple lived in Shenandoah, Iowa and Columbus, Nebraska before moving to Omaha in 1959, where they lived for the rest of their married life.
Maxine is preceeded in death by her husband, Homer Kilzer in May of 1995; son, Randy Kilzer in February of 1998; daughter-in-law, Denise Kilzer; sister, Marjorie Dierberger; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Dierberger.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Ronald Kilzer of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Dolores Bartholomew of Seward, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews.
