!OBITUARY: The Geauga Republican, Chardon, OH, 10 Apr 1912. Osmond Dimock, one of the best known citizens of Claridon, died quite suddenly at his home in the north part of the township, April 2, after an illness with pneumonia, aged 62 years. He was born March 3, 1850, and had lived all his life in Claridon. He was married to Miss Olivia E. Flinch, Dec. 24, 1870, and three children were born to them - Frank, who lives in Willoughby; Clark, and Mrs. Mattie Durkin, who with her husband cared for him the past winter. Mr. Dimock's wife died April 27, 1907. Of the immediate family there survive two sons and a daughter - Frank Dimock, of Willoughby; Clark Dimock, and Mrs. Mattie Durkin, who resided with her father, and cared for him during his last illness. Osmond Dimock was a man who loved his old home. He was one of the very few to pass away in their old home, and in the room where he was born. He was a good neighbor, and proud of the fact that his word was always kept. Mr. Dimock was a farmer by occupation, and a mover of buildings. He was an honest and industrious man, and leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his death. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the house at 1:30 o'clock, sun time, Rev. J.W. Rice officiating. Many relatives and neighbors were present. The singing was by H.E. and Milton Watts, Mrs. Bella Wilmot and Mrs. Jennie Watts. The remains were placed in the vault at Claridon Center, to await burial there."
