Nathan Patch, the son of John Patch Sr., and Mercy Potter, married first Hannah Whipple on 14 Dec 1756. They had two sons, Henry and Joseph. Hannah died, presumably either in childbirth, or shortly after the birth of Joseph.

On 26 Dec 1760 Nathan married secondly Eunice Adams, the daughter of Nathaniel Adams and Eunice Stearns. They had five children: Nathaniel, Joshua, Hannah (married Tappan March), Sarah (married Samuel Porter) and Lucy, who never married.
Nathan was a veteran of the Revolutionary War.
