Lyman Barker

NORTH OGDEN-Lyman Barker, 78, life-long resident of North Ogden, died at the family home at eight-fifty-five p.m. yesterday after a short ilness.
He was born March 15, 1872 in North Ogden a son of James and Polly Blodgett Barker. He had engaged in farming and fruit raising.
A member of the L. D. S. church he was a high priest in the North Ogden ward and for 15 years had been ward organist and for many years chior master.
On Jan. 9, 1901 he married Harriet E. Ward in the L. D. S. Salt Lake temple.
Surviving are his widow, and the following sons and daughters; Horace L., Ross J., and L. Ward Barker, and Mrs. Ross (Janet) Fietkau, North Ogden; Mrs. Thomas (Mildred) Shupe, Liberty; Thornel (Verna) Wilson, Anchorage, Alaska, 15 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Harriet Shaw, North Ogden.
The body is at the mortuary, 2408 Washington, Ogden.
