KLEUTSCH: The passing of Earl Nicholas Kleutsch of Elrose, Sask. occurred peacefuly in the Rosetown Union Hospital on March 19, 1992 at the age of 89 years. Earl was born at Phillips, Wisconsin on November 15, 1902, son of Michael and Mercedes Kleutsch. Earl came to the Elrose Mondou district in 1910 with his parents for two months. They returned to Wisconsin but in 1913 returned to the Elrose Mondou district. Earl married Zeta Mailander in 1929 and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Earl worked and farmed in the Mondou district for 61 years before retiring in 1984. Earl and Zeta spent many winter months in California and Arizona which they enjoyed greatly. Earl was a resident of the Elrose Golden Years Lodge from December 22, 1991 until his passing. He enjoyed playing pool and cards with his many friends. Earl leaves to mourn his daughter Rosemarie (Fen) Hedley of Regina and their family Susan (Wade) Pridmore of Consul, Sask., Michael (Joanne) Hedley, Glenda and Brent, all of Regina, one son: Gerald (Arlene) Kleutsch and their family Michael (Debbie) Kleutsch, Michelle (Jeff) Ellenton, all of Calgary, seven great-grandchildren: Jeffery and Craig Pridmore, Crystal and Ashley Kleutsch, Lisa, Shawna and Curtis Ellenton. Earl was predeceased by his loving wife Zeta in 1991, his parents, one brother Ed Kleutsch and one sister Emma Negles. Prayer services were held from Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, March 22, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass on Monday, March
23,1992 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Maurice Levesque, Rev. Fr. Michael McCarthy and Rev. Fr. Alvin Pich celebrating. Ushers in the church were Neal Torrance and Roy Andreas. Honorary Pallbearers were "All those who shared in Earl's life." Interment followed in the Elrose Cemetery with the following acting as Pallbearers: Micheal Kleutsch, Michael Hedley, Harold Garner, Wade Pridmore, Jeff Ellenton and Brent Hedley. Those wishing to make memorial donations may directthem to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, The Elrose United Church, The Elrose Golden Years Lodge or the Charity of ones choice.
