DUNSTAN DAVE RAINFORD “Dunny” Age 43, of Riviera Beach was taken peacefully from us too soon on August 10, 2006, after a yearlong battle with T-cell lymphoma cancer. Dunstan was born in Jamaica on January 15, 1963. He came to this country 11 years ago and has since brought most of this family with him. Dunstan was a big hearted, God loving, strong willed and wonderful father, brother, and uncle. He will be deeply missed. On February 8, 2006, Dunstan's home was chosen by ABC's Extreme Home Makeover. The family's grateful thanks go to all the volunteers who contributed their time and effort to make his dream of a lasting home for his children come true. Dunstan is survived by his three children, Tarama Rainford-Mayne of Fort Bragg, NC, Dunstan Rainford Jr. and Shauna-kay Rainford; one brother, Winston Rainford; five sisters, Janice Rainford, Lisa Egan, Colette Rainford, Sophia Anderson and Pamela Rainford; one granddaughter, Thaliya Mayne; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday August 18, 2006 at Royal Palm Beach Funeral Home, 5601 Greenwood Ave, West Palm Beach, FL, (561) 848-8659. Funeral services will be held at Orthodox Zion Baptist Church, 2900 North Australian Ave., West Palm Beach, FL on Saturday August 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow immediately after. Father Featured On 'Extreme Makeover' Dies At 43
RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. -- A Riviera Beach man who brought a whole community together has died.
Dunstan Rainford lost his battle with cancer early Thursday morning.
In February, Rainford's dying wish came true when his family' was picked to be featured on the TV show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". Hundreds of volunteers pitched in and built him a new home in just seven days.
Rainford was born in Jamaica. He leaves behind his two children, his sister and her family. He was 43.
