Mrs. Hulda Springer
Mrs. Hulda Springer, a lifelong resident of the Gordonville community, died Saturday night March 7 in a Charleston nursing home where she had been a patient one month. She was 92 years old.
Mrs. Springer, the former Miss Mueller, was born Oct. 9, 1877 at Gordonville and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church there.
She was first married to Louis W. Eggimann who died Sept. 17, 1908. In 1910 she and Frederick Springer were united in marriage. He died Sept. 25, 1969.
Surviving are a son, Clarence Springer, Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. J.A. Gibbs, Jackson; and a sister, Mrs. Pete Snell, McClure, IL; two brothers, Otto Mueller, Jackson, and Wm. Mueller, Chaffee; a nephew, Art Mueller of Chaffee, who was reared in the Springer home; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. A son, a daughter, two brothers, three sisters, a niece and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
The body is at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson were funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2. The Rev. Richard E. Hasz, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial is to be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
A prayer service will be held tonight at 7:30 at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Louis Eggimann, Otto Mueller, Jr., Albert Sander, Walter Bodenstein, Lester Whitticre, and Jesse Kinder.
