-------------------------------------
Geo E. Dickerson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dickerson, was born at Falls City, Nebraska, April 15, 1884, and died at his home near Litchfield, Nebraska, May 20, 1931, being 47 years, one month and 5 days old.
Mr. Dickerson came with his parents to Sherman county, Nebraska, in 1885, where the family located on a farm northwest of Litchfield and remained there until about one year ago, when he purchased a farm 10 miles southwest of Litchfield, where he remained until his death.
He was married to Miss Ethyl Duncan, February 10, 1909. To this union there was born one daughter, Etna Rusk, who was here to attend the funeral. Mrs. Dickerson, mother and wife, passed away February 7th, 1916.
Mr. Dickerson was married to Miss Rose Engleman on January 26th, 1925.
He leaves to mourn; his wife, one daughter, one grandson, and five brothers, they are: John, of Eddyville, Nebr., Will and Charles, of Litchfield, and Earnest and Edward, of Parkerton, Wyoming. Besides his relatives he leaves a host of friends who sympathize very deeply with the bereaved family and other relatives.
He made no profession of Christianity and laid no claim to the promises of God, other than that he was initiated into the I.O.O.F. fraternity a number of years ago and believed in the principles taught by that organization.
He had many friends, was accommodating, and a kind man, and was possessed of a good moral character. He was a loving husband, a kind father and a good loyal citizen.
The funeral was held from the Christian church on Friday afternoon, May 22nd at 2 p.m. and the sermon was preached by Rev. W.C. Lessley, pastor of the church. It was one of the largest attended funerals that has been held in Litchfield recently.
