Bloomington, Indiana, December 19-During the illness of Maggie, daughter of ex-Sheriff Alexander who recently died from diphtheria, Mrs. Thomas Howard was a frequent attendant at her bedside. Three days ago, Mrs. Howard was attacked with the same form of the disease and came near following her little friend. Her sister at New Albany was telegraphed for, whose nursing together with the skill of Dr. McPheeters, brought Mrs. Howard through the crisis, and she is now on the road to recovery.
