Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell, for William G. Coborn, 66, of 32632 River Vista Lane, who died Monday at St. Cloud Hospital.
Entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight at Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and one hour before services Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 8 tonight at the funeral home.
William Coborn was born in St. Cloud to Duke and Florence (Graham) Coborn. He was a 1956 graduate of St. John's University, Collegeville. He was in the U.S. Army. He was co-owner of Coborn's Inc. He was active in civic organizations, including Sertoma and the American Meat Institute, and was on the Advisory Board of Gold'N Plump. He was a member of Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254 and the Minnesota Grocers Association, was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was past exalted ruler of the St. Cloud Elks Club.
Survivors include his children, Julie and Mark of St. Cloud, Kent of St. Paul, and Noelle Bortscheller of Minneapolis; and sisters and brother, Betty Clepper of St. Cloud, Dan of Sartell, and Nancy Fandel of Cold Spring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce on Oct. 11, 1995; and two brothers, Robert and Ronald.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
