In Harrisburg, Arkansas on August 2, 1931, she was united in marriage to Leon Earls. He preceded her in death November 4, 1968. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Crystal Hays, and a brother, Wakeleigh.
Elouise taught school at South Pemiscot School until her retirement. She had been a member of the Wesley Methodist United Church for 75 years.
Survivors include the following: one son, Dr. Rev. Ray Clarke Earls of Bladwyn, Miss.; two daughters Mrs. Loretta Lee Reid of Dexter and Mrs. Davey Ann Lyon of Houston, Tex; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday October 9, 1998, at 11:00 A.M. at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Steele with Rev. Dwight Chapman and Rev. Rick Broadway officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
