Son of Mrs. Ella Armstrong of Soper, Choctaw County, Oklahoma. Joined the Army 15 March, 1944 and was wounded in action the first time on 25 Dec 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge and mortally a second time in Germany, shortly before the end of the war. Two of Leonard's siblings were Edna and Edward.
