David worked for Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, GA, a contractor for Residential Construction in Cobb County, GA; owned and operated Ferguson's Kountry Store in Ela, NC, and worked for UPS in Sylva, NC. David collected and sold Antique and Classic Cars in Waynesville, and was a member of the Mountaineer Antique Automobile Club. David was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
